Call to Worship - Pastor John Magnus
Psalm 34:1-3
I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul will make its boast in the LORD; The humble will hear it and rejoice.
O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.
Song - Glorious Day
I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight?
It was my tomb
'Til I met You
I was breathing, but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb
'Til I met You
You called my name
Then I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new
Jesus, when I met You
When you called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
You called my name
Then I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
I needed rescue
My sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter
I was an orphan
But You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken
You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I'm breathing
I have a future
My eyes are open
Cause when you called my name
You called my name
Then I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day

Song - The Heart of Worship
When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longin' just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless Your heart
I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the ways things appear
You're looking into my heart
I'm comin' back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You
It's all about You, Jesus
King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve?
Though I'm weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath
I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart
I'm comin' back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm comin' back to the heart of worship
'Cause it's all about You
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
'Cause it's all about You
It's all about You, Jesus

Song - I Surrender
Here I am
Down on my knees again
Surrendering all
Surrendering all
And find me here
Lord as You draw me near
Desperate for You
Desperate for You
I surrender
Drench my soul
As mercy and grace unfold
I hunger and thirst
I hunger and thirst
With arms stretched wide
I know You hear my cry
Speak to me now
Speak to me now
I surrender
I surrender
I wanna know You more
I wanna know You more
I surrender
I surrender
I wanna know You more
I wanna know You more
Like a rushing wind
Jesus breathe within
Lord have Your way
Lord have Your way in me
Like a mighty storm
Stir within my soul
Lord have Your way
Lord have Your way in me
Like a rushing wind
Jesus breathe within
Lord have Your way
Lord have Your way in me
Like a mighty storm
Stir within my soul
Lord have Your way
Lord have Your way in me
I surrender
I surrender
I wanna know You more
I wanna know You more
I surrender
I surrender
I wanna know You more
I wanna know You more

Phase 2 - Adoration - Dennis Rejcek - Bluff Dale Methodist Church
Psalm 145:1-3 - I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
1 Chronicles 29:11 - Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.
Revelation 4:11 - “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
Song - I Believe
I believe there is one salvation
One doorway that leads to life
One redemption, one confession
I believe in the name of Jesus Christ
I believe in the crucifixion
By His blood, I have been set free
I believe in the resurrection
Hallelujah, His life is death's defeat
All praise to God the Father
All praise to Christ the Son
All praise to the Holy Spirit
Our God has overcome
The King who was and is and evermore will be
In Jesus mighty name, I believe
I believe, I believe
I believe in the hope of Heaven
He's preparing a place for me
Far beyond what hearts imagine
Ears have heard or eyes have seen
I believe that a day is coming
He's returning to claim His bride
Light the altar, keep it burning
See the Lamb who rose a roaring Lion
All praise to God the Father
All praise to Christ the Son
All praise to the Holy Spirit
Our God has overcome
The King who was and is and evermore will be
In Jesus mighty name, I believe
No, I'll never be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ
How could I ever walk away from the One who saved my life?
No, I'll never be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ
How could I ever walk away from the One who saved my life?
No, I'll never be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ
How could I ever walk away from the One who saved my life?
All praise to God the Father
All praise to Christ the Son
All praise to the Holy Spirit
Our God has overcome
The King who was and is and evermore will be
In Jesus mighty name, I believe
And all praise to God Our Father
All praise to Christ the Son
All praise to the Holy Spirit
Our God has overcome
The King who was and is and evermore will be
In Jesus mighty name, I believe
In Jesus mighty name, I believe
I believe, I believe
I believe, I believe

Song - Psalm 34 (Taste and See)
I sought the Lord
And He answered me
And delivered me
From every fear
Those who look on Him
Are radiant
They'll never be ashamed
They'll never be ashamed
This poor man cried
And the Lord heard me
And saved me from
My enemies
The Son of God
Surrounds His saints
He will deliver them
He will deliver them
Magnify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever
Oh, taste and see
That the Lord is good
Oh, bless us here
Who hides in Him
Oh, fear the Lord
Oh, all you saints
He'll give you everything
He'll give you everything
Magnify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever
Let us bless the Lord
Every day and night
Neverending praise
May our incense rise
Let us bless the Lord
Every day and night
Neverending praise
May our incense rise
Let us bless the Lord
Every day and night
Neverending praise
May our incense rise
Let us bless the Lord
Every day and night
Neverending praise
May our incense rise
Magnify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever
Magnify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever

Song - Mighty to Save
Everyone needs compassion
A love that's never failing
Let mercy fall on me
Everyone needs forgiveness
The kindness of a Savior
The hope of nations
Savior, He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever Author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave
So take me as You find me
All my fears and failures
And fill my life again
I give my life to follow
In everything I believe in
Now I surrender
Savior, He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever Author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave
Shine Your light and let the whole world see
We're singing for the glory of the Risen King
Jesus, shine Your light and let the whole world see
We're singing for the glory of the Risen King
Savior, He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever Author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave
Savior, He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever Author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

Phase 3 - Thanksgiving - Pastor Scott Pace - Bluff Dale Baptist Church
Psalm 9:1-2 - I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
Psalm 100 - Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Philippians 4:4-7 - Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:15-17 - And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Song - I Thank God
Wandering into the night
Wanting a place to hide
This weary soul, this bag of bones
I tried with all my might
But I just can't win the fight
I'm slowly drifting
A vagabond
And just when I ran out of road
I met a man I didn't know
And he told me that I was not alone
He picked me up
He turned me around
And placed my feet on solid ground
I thank the Master
I thank the Savior
Because He healed my heart
And changed my name
Forever free, I am not the same
I thank the Master
I thank the Savior
I thank God
I cannot deny what I've see
Got no choice but to believe
My doubts are burning
Like ashes in the wind
So, so long to my old friends
Burden and bitterness
You can just keep them moving
Nah you ain't welcome here
From now 'til I walk the streets of gold
I'll sing of how You saved my soul
This wayward son has found his way back home
He picked me up
He turned me around
He placed my feet on solid ground
I thank the Master
I thank the Savior
Because He healed my heart
And changed my name
Forever free, I'm not the same
I thank the Master
I thank the Savior
I thank God
Hell lost another one, I am free
I am free, I am free
Hell lost another one, I am free
I am free, I am free
Hell lost another one, I am free
I am free, I am free
Hell lost another one, I am free
I am free
He picked me up
He turned me around
He placed my feet on solid ground
I thank the Master
I thank the Savior
Because He healed my heart
He changed my name
Forever free, I'm not the same
I thank the Master
I thank the Savior
I thank God

Song - Gratitude
All my words fall short
I got nothing new
How could I express
All my gratitude
I could sing these songs
As I often do
But every song must end
And You never do
So I throw up my hands
And praise You again and again
'Cause all that I have is a hallelujah
Hallelujah
And I know it's not much
But I've nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
Hallelujah
I've got one response
I've got just one move
With my arm stretched wide
I will worship You
So I throw up my hands
And praise You again and again
'Cause all that I have is a hallelujah
Hallelujah
And I know it's not much
But I've nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
Hallelujah
So come on, my soul
Oh, don't you get shy on me
Lift up your song
'Cause you've got a lion inside of those lungs
Get up and praise the Lord
Oh, come on, my soul
Oh, don't you get shy on me
Lift up your song
'Cause you've got a lion inside of those lungs
Get up and praise the Lord
Come on, my soul
Oh, don't you get shy on me
Lift up your song
'Cause you've got a lion inside of those lungs
Get up and praise the Lord
So I throw up my hands
And praise You again and again
'Cause all that I have is a hallelujah
Hallelujah
And I know it's not much
But I've nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
Hallelujah

Song - Goodness of God
I love You, Lord
Oh Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
All my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night
You are close like no other
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
I have lived in the goodness of God
All my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
With my life laid down, I surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
All my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

Phase 4 - Supplication - Pastor John Magnus
Psalm 139:1-4 - O LORD, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.
Matthew 6:11-13 - Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:6-7 - Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

Song - Oh My Soul
Oh, my soul
Oh, how you worry
Oh, how you're weary, from fearing you lost control
This was the one thing, you didn't see coming
And no one would blame you, though
If you cried in private
If you tried to hide it away, so no one knows
No one will see, if you stop believing
Oh, my soul
You are not alone
There's a place where fear has to face the God you know
One more day, He will make a way
Let Him show you how, you can lay this down
'Cause you're not alone
Here and now
You can be honest
I won't try to promise that someday it all works out
'Cause this is the valley
And even now, He is breathing on your dry bones
And there will be dancing
There will be beauty where beauty was ash and stone
This much I know
Oh, my soul
You are not alone
There's a place where fear has to face the God you know
One more day, He will make a way
Let Him show you how, you can lay this down
I'm not strong enough, I can't take anymore
(You can lay it down, you can lay it down)
And my shipwrecked faith will never get me to shore
(You can lay it down, you can lay it down)
Can He find me here
Can He keep me from going under
Oh, my soul
You are not alone
There's a place where fear has to face the God you know
One more day, He will make a way
Let Him show you how, you can lay this down
Cause you’re not alone
Oh my soul, you’re not alone

Song - Oceans
You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep my faith will stand
And I will call upon Your Name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine
Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed and You won't start now
So I will call upon Your Name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Saviour
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Saviour
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Saviour
I will call upon Your Name
Keep my eyes above the waves
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Song - Come Thou Fount
Come Thou fount of ev'ry blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount I'm fixed upon it
Mount of Thy redeeming love
Here I raise mine Ebenezer
Hither by Thy help I'm come
And I hope by Thy good pleasure
Safely to arrive at home
Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wand'ring from the fold of God
He to rescue me from danger
Interposed His precious blood
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy grace Lord like a fetter
Bind my wand'ring heart to Thee
Prone to wander Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart Lord take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above

Call to Prayer - Pastor John Magnus
Song - Jesus Paid It All / Nothing but the Blood
And I hear the savior say
Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness, watch and pray
Find in me thine all in all
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and thine alone
Can change the leper's spots
And melt the heart of stone
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
O precious is the flow
that makes me white as snow;
no other fount I know;
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my pardon this I see:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my cleansing this my plea:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
O precious is the flow
that makes me white as snow;
no other fount I know;
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
O praise the one who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
O praise the one who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
Nothing can for sin atone:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Naught of good that I have done:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
This is all my hope and peace:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
This is all my righteousness:
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
O precious is the flow
that makes me white as snow;
no other fount I know;
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Song - Doxology
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Amen.
Thank you for coming. Goodnight!
Numbers 6:24-26 - The LORD bless you, and keep you; The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace. (NASB)
So what now?
What does it mean to believe in Jesus?
If you have never put your faith in Jesus, know that God loves you, desperately. You don't have to do anything to earn His love. He loves you because He has chosen to love you. He created you and desires for you to be in a relationship with Him.
But sin separates you from that relationship. Sin is a violation of God's law. The penalty for sin is death, a separation from God forever.
But God loves us so much that He made a way us to be with Him forever - not by being good enough, but by making a way for all your failures to be forgiven. This way is Jesus.
Jesus is the Son of God. He came to earth and became human like us, but without sin. He died on the cross, paying a debt He did not owe - our debt. He then rose three days later to show victory over death.
Those who confess their sin and believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, will have forgiveness of sin and hope of eternal life with God.
Those who have their sins forgiven can now be in relationship with their Creator, not because of what they do, but because of what Jesus has done.
If you would like to receive this gift of salvation, simply confess your sin to God and ask Jesus to save you. If your believe in you heart, you will be saved.
If you put your faith in Jesus Christ, please take a moment to tell us about it so we can follow up with you.
Go to Church
There are three churches in town that would love to worship with you: Bluff Dale Baptist, Bluff Dale Methodist, and Hillside Baptist.
Hillside meets for worship on Sundays at 10am.
Read the Bible
A consistent time in the Word of God is essential to a relationship with Jesus. Reading the Bible is how God speaks to us and shows us how to live for Him. If you are new to the Bible, a great place to start is The Gospel of John. As you read it, ask yourself who Jesus is and what does He expect from those who follow Him.
Want to take it a step further? Talk with someone about what you are reading with a friend or ministry leader.
Don't have a Bible? Contact a local church for a free Bible or download the Bible App for free. They have many great plans to help you interact with the Bible. Here is a plan for how to Study the Bible. The app has all the modern English translations available for reading. Many of them also have audio versions.
Worship Anywhere
Make worship a part of you day.
Austin Mims from Hillside has put together a few playlists to help you worship wherever you are.
All the songs from tonight: Community Worship Night Playlist
Another great playlist of worship songs: Worship Playlist
The songs we sing on at Hillside on Sunday morning: Hillside Sunday Playlist
Pray
Prayer is the way that we communicate with God.
Tonight, we did a form of the Acts prayer method (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication).
There are many ways to pray, but if you need some help, here are some tips.
1. Make a plan
Plan a time and place to pray. You plan your day. Why not your pray?
2. Remove distractions
Get alone. Turn off your phone. Have a piece of paper to write down unrelated thoughts to get them off your mind.
3. Get a partner
Pray with others. Get help and encouragement through communal prayer.
4. Listen to others pray
Learn to pray better by listening to others pray.
5. Develop a system
Use a pray app. Here is an app I (John) use when I pray. Use note cards. A journal. A notebook. Write down details like who, what, and when. Record answers to prayer to see how God is working.
6. Use variety in prayer
Mix prayer up with praise, confession, request, and thanksgiving. Use different methods and variety to keep from making prayer rote.
7. Pray until you pray
You may not feel like you are into prayer. Keep praying. It will come.
Need Prayer? Contact us or one of the area churches.
